Who’s that dying on the runway?
Who’s that dying in the snow?
It’s Matt Busby and his boys
Making such a fucking noise
Coz they can’t get their aeroplane to go!

We shall not,
we shall not be moved
We shall not,
we shall not be moved
Not by the Wolves,
by Newcastle or Arsensal
We shall not be moved

There’s John and Jack and Billy,
we shall not be moved
There’s Terry, Paul and Gary,
we shall not be moved
Not by Westham
by Chelsea or by Manchester,
We shall not be moved
We shall not,
we shall not be moved (Everybody)

We shall not,
we shall not be moved
Not by the Spurs,
by Liverpool or Everton
We shall not be moved

We’ll be running ’round
Wembley with the Cup (with the Cup)
We’ll be running ’round
Wembley with the Cup (with the Cup)
We’ll be running ’round
Wembley, Europe and Wembley
We’ll be running ’round
Wembley with the Cup

If you follow Leeds United
clap your hands (3 clap)
If you follow Leeds United
clap your hands (3 clap)
If you follow Leeds United
it’s not hard to get excited
If you follow Leeds United
clap your hands

We shall not,
we shall not be moved
We shall not,
we shall not be moved
Not by West Brom,
by Forest or by Sunderland
We shall not be moved

Leeds – Leeds – Leeds – Leeds – Leeds ………
We shall not be moved

Leeds — Leeds — Leeds… (10 times)

Leeds United calypso
Leeds United calypso
I feel so happy
I feel so fine
The Elland Road
lads are pals of mine (a-ha)

Now everybody
come along with me
To Elland Road
and sing joyfully
A lot of happy footballers
you will see
The pride of the directors
and Don Revie

It’s the Leeds United calypso
(sing it now)
Leeds United calypso
I feel so happy
I feel so fine
The lads at Elland Road
are pals of mine (a-ha)

Now matches have come
and matches have gone
And at last
we’re happy in division one
Instead of the Mersey
and Liverpool sound
We’ve got a special noise
at the Elland Road ground

(Leeds — Leeds — Leeds…
is repeated throughout this chorus in the backing)

It’s the Leeds United calypso
Leeds United calypso
I feel so happy I feel so fine
The lads at Elland Road
are buddies of mine (a-ha)

We’ve got Englishmen
and Irishmen and Scotchmen, too
And our goallie called Sprake
from Wales mark you
Albert Johanson
is one of the few
I don’t know where he comes from,
but I think it’s Timbuctoo

It’s the Leeds United calypso
(sing it now)
Leeds United calypso
I feel so happy
I feel so fine
The lads at Elland Road
are mates of mine (a-ha)

Now all the Leeds
supporters are feeling grand
They’re also
very happy in Sunderland
Records have been broken
for all to see
So buy this record
from the lads and me

It’s called the
Leeds United calypso (buy it now)
Leeds United calypso
I feel so happy
I feel so fine
The lads at Elland Road
are pals of mine

Leeds — Leeds — Leeds …….

Here we go
with Leeds United
We’re gonna give
the boys a hand
Stand up and sing
for Leeds United
We are the greatest
in the land

Every day,
we’re all gonna say
We love you Leeds!
Leeds! Leeds!
Everywhere,
we’re gonna be there
We love you Leeds!
Leeds! Leeds!

Marchin’ on together
We’re gonna see you win
(na, na, na, na, na, na)
We are so proud
We shouted out loud
We love you Leeds!
Leeds! Leeds!

We’ve been through
it all together
And we’ve had
our ups and downs
(ups and downs!)
We’re gonna stay
with you forever
At least until the world
stops going round
Every day,
we’re all gonna say
We love you Leeds!
Leeds! Leeds!
Everywhere,
we’re gonna be there
We love you Leeds!
Leeds! Leeds!

Marchin’ on together
We’re gonna see you win
(na, na, na, na, na, na)
We are so proud
We shouted out loud
We love you Leeds!
Leeds! Leeds!

I couldn’t have asked for a better blog. You happen to be always at hand to offer excellent guidance, going straight away to the point for easy understanding of your site visitors. You’re really a terrific pro in this subject matter. Many thanks for being there visitors like me.

  2. Sam Says:

Leeds is Premier League’s champion next year!!!

  3. Eric Hargreaves Says:

Leeds United’s reference to Matt Busby shows the mentality of so called football fans.
Leeds United should be ashamed to allow such a reference on its web site.
FOR GOD’S SAKE GROW UP !!!!!

  4. Eric Hargreaves Says:

Some say I do not understand the first thing about loyalty to a Football Club as a true fan.
LET ME TELL YOU the one thing I do understand is that the majority of some style of fans is that they are so biased and fickle to the extent that they change their views on on players and the Management on a weekly basis AND IF THAT IS BEING A TRUE FAN THROUGH THICK AND THIN WITH THE CLUB THEY SUPPORT then God help their mental status and general outlook on life generally. Talk about being blinkered !!!!

  5. There since 61 Says:

Delete the Munich song!!!! In 52 tears I have never sung it, never will and am disgusted by anyone who does – we are better htan that.

  6. Eric Hargreaves Says:

Thanx for the response. I fully agree it should be deleted and to that extent have emailed my disgust to the FA with a request that they or Leeds United take steps to have this crap so deleted. This is as bed as racism in football.
As I said before some people need to grown up and stop being one track minded club morons persisting in the hatred of Man United. I’m no fan of either team by the way…..just a concerned individual. Perhaps more of us should email the FA….its easy just login on the FA site and that allows you to send a message to them. Regards E.

  7. Eric Hargreaves Says:

Heard from FA on the disgusting reference to Matt Busby on this Site who hopefully will now be in touch with Leeds United with regard to them having their name and badge removed from this unofficial site. I wish them good luck BUT the bottom line is that the wording and the song have come from some moronic Leeds Fans. Again I say they need to grow up.

  8. Sunny Says:

    Where is “Munich song”?

  9. Crowland Fletch Says:

Where’s the Banamarama song ? Na Na Na Na, Na Na Na Na, Yea Hey Yea, LEEDS UNITED ! ! !

  10. Tizz Says:

@Eric Yeah so it’s a nasty refernce to Matt Busby – what a surprise it’s a football chant. It’s still an accurate account of the song as it’s heard, why do you feel the need to sanitise reality? when have football chants ever been about being PC or in good taste? why are you trying to censor reality?

  11. Ramon Says:

site!I suppose its ok to use some of your ideas!!

Fellow members, some of you may remeebmr earlier in the season when I wrote an email complaining to the Chief Sports Writer of the Mail on Sunday about him not mentioning the unveiling of Don Revie’s statue whilst, quite rightly, referring to the unveiling of one to Sir Bobby Robson. I ended the email with a no doubt you will have a go at Neil Warnock at some stage in the season type comment. You may also remeebmr his arrogant reply dismissing me and denying The Don completely and stating that Warnock couldn’t be mentioned in the same text as Robson, missing my point completely.Well, lo and behold, there it was this morning as I finally rose from my bed Warnock lives down to all expectations . Apparrently, David Jones was amazed that our manager sent the players to applaud us at the end and according to the columnist he shouldn’t have been!!The one-eyed amoeba in question is a particularly opinionated trash writer called Patrick Collins an historical Leeds-hating know-all journalist who uses his position to attack the players, managers, chairmen and supporters of football clubs he dislikes in an imbalanced judgement. He will never give any praise to those he dislikes as his is the only view that counts and he believes no one else is intelligent enough to have a contra-argument. Fortunately, we still have freedom of speech in this country (just) to stop dictators like him forcing their views.
